This is the third and final revision/edition of "United States Army, 9th Infantry, Personnel and Troops at Fort Simcoe, Washington Territory, August 8, 1856 through May 28, 1859." This final revision/edition is a more complete study which includes both the review of the Muster Rolls which were taken every other month at the post, and the Monthly Returns which were a monthly report. This is a more precise document than the original. It is a list of commissioned and non-commissioned officers and privates who were listed in the United States Army, 9th Infantry, Monthly Returns and Muster Rolls, Companies C, F, G, and I, stationed at Fort Simcoe, Washington Territory. Also represented are troops from the 9th Infantry, Company B, who were on temporary service for the first few months and helping in the construction of the fort.
